How Is Khazana Reshaping the IT Sector in Pakistan?

The Technology Boom

The 4th industrial revolution is currently underway. This revolution is digital. Pakistan, itself has witnessed a technology revolution from the years 2010 and Khazana has been on the forefront to facilitate that change, by providing world-class IT products and services.

Pakistan’s Vision 2025

Khazana’s vision aligns with Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) vision to take significant steps to improve Pakistan’s national IT footprint, with Pakistan’s Vision 2025 giving priority to our knowledge economy. Khazana fits right into this vision, leveraging world-class technology, with 200+ certifications that are internationally recognized, like ISO 27001, and ISO 1295-ISO 1:2017. As Pakistan recovers from the economic recession, a great emphasis has been put on technological advancement and transformation.

Utilizing Pakistan’s Skilled Labor Force

Pakistan produces at least 10,000 IT graduates every year, and currently has at least 300,000 IT professionals. Yet, Pakistan ranks 4th on a global scale for freelance software development. This means that our skilled labour force is being utilized outside Pakistan. With companies like Khazana on the forefront hiring IT professionals for prestigious projects, we are utilizing our vast potential to make an international impact – and that impact won’t be through freelancing but through our advanced IT industry and innovative technology solutions, using our own local talent.

Pakistan’s First Commercially Available High Performance Computing Cluster

Pakistan’s first commercially available High Performance Computing Cluster is revolutionary. Khazana initially came up with a solution for a client dealing with silicon chip simulation. By combining the power of a 300+ virtual CPUs, we ensured a fast and seamless experience. It uses the high computing power of HPC that’s 30x faster than your average server.

However, the usage of this HPC doesn’t stop here. People are using HPC to reach unparalleled levels of performance in every industry such as:

  • Finance – Running apps smoothly, analyzing mass volumes of data and detecting credit card fraud
  • Engineering – Using simulations to test heavy machinery designs like airplane parts
  • Mining- Finding oil and gas deposits
  • Agriculture- Finding a new formula for a fertilizer
  • Media – create complex special effects or have non-stop streaming options
  • Architecture & Urban Planning – data-driven activities such as traffic/weather patterns, population, and land usage demographics

In-Country Data Centers

Modernization of the Public Sector is one of the pillars of the Vision 2025 initiatives. Currently, several international vendors seem more reliable for storing and managing large amounts of data. Khazana has Tier 3, PCI.DSS Compliant Data Centers that can help Pakistan keep its critical data within its borders. The Nutanix HCI hardware that Khazana has is rated as #1 on the GMQ (Gartner Magic Quadrant, December 10, 2020) global list.

As your technology partner, Khazana offers many benefits that can help us modernize Pakistan. Here are Khazana’s key differentiators in information technology:
